Funeral arrangements for famed Go-Go musicians, Chuck Brown are still pending.

The “Godfather of Go-Go” died of multiple-organ failure from sepsis at Baltimore’s Johns Hopkins Hospital on Wednesday.

Chuck’s last performance was back in March and  he had been hospitalized for about for weeks prior to this death.

Brown was best known for blending blending funk, jazz and soul and other musical forms together to create the Go-Go sound. He is one of the people responsible for the 1970′s Soul Searchers hit, ”Bustin’ Loose,” and in 2010, he was nominated for a Grammy for his collaboration with Jill Scott and Marcus Miller, for “Love.”

Chuck is known all around the world, but his core fan base was in Washington D.C. When news of passing broke Wednesday afternoon, fans and a local radio station gathered at D.C.’s recently restored Howard Theatre to celebrate his life by blasting his music and dancing in the streets.

Chuck Brown’s manager,  Tom Goldfogle, issued the following statement:

“His family continues to be grateful for the outpouring of love and support and requests respect for their privacy during this difficult time.”

Chuck leaves his wife, Jocelyn, sons Nekos, Wiley and Bill, and daughter Takesa and host of other family members, friends, and fans to cherish his memory.

Chuck was 75 years old.

Various blog sites and gossip columns are reporting that Rocsi Diaz and Terrence J have been fired as hosts of 106 & Park, however, that may not be the case. 

Reports that that both Rocsi and Terrence will be leaving the show because they both want to pursue a career in acting. According to the  NY Post: 

Rocsi Diaz has her sights on Hollywood. The Honduran-Chilean beauty is leaving the BET show after nearly seven years and moving to California to pursue acting.

GlobalGrind tried to get to the bottom of things, and reported that this rumor is false, and the two have not been fired. The hip-pop blog site goes on to reports that the 106 and Park hosts are in the last year of their contracts, but for now, they are not leaving the show. 

No denial or confirmation of the rumors have come for neither of their twitter pages, but Terrence does seem to have caught the acting bug after the success of his hit movie, Think Like A Man. He tweets:

Rocsi and Terrence both were hired by BET to host the show back in 2005 after being discovered by BET during a National ‘New Faces’ Talent Search. 

In addition to 106 and Park, Rocsi hosts her national syndicated radio show , ‘Rocsi On The Radio, ’ and Terrence has been seen in the movies Burlesque, Think Like A Man, BET’s The Game and Stomp The Yard 2. 

Many have followed President Barack Obama’s example by coming forward with their support of gay marriage. Since the President publicly announced his position , Jay-Z, T.I. and Floyd Mayweather have all announced that they do believe in equality for all people.

With the buzz surrounding the topic being so high, NBC picked the perfect time to launch their new show, The New Normal, which is Ryan Murphy’s new comedy about a gay male couple trying to start a family.

NeNe Leaks of the Real Houswives of Atlanta, will also be featured in the new show as well. This isn’t NeNe’s first time acting, so also has a role in the show, Glee addresses the issue of homosexuality as well. 

Of her new NBC role, Nene says:

“I’m Rocky, one of the gay guy’s assistants. I take it very personal, honey, if you talk about my gays, honey. Only I can talk about them and I’m fabulous. She’s very different from Roz Washington on Glee; she’s always in workout outfits and sneakers. Rocky wears high heels every day. This is very fitting for me because in my real life, you don’t mess with my gays, honey. I don’t play that!”

Donna died this morning in Florida as a result of her battle with the lung cancer that she believed she contracted from inhaling toxic particles after the 9/11 attack in New York City. 

TMZ reports that Donna Summer was purposely kept the extent of her illness private, and she was even working on a new album. 

Donna Summer became an instant star in the ’70s with iconic hits like “Last Dance,” “Hot Stuff” and “Bad Girls,” and in the 80′s she gave us hits like “She Works Hard for the Money” and “This Time I Know It’s for Real.”

These disco anthems earned Donna five Grammy Awards, and her Disco Queen title.

In 1980, Summer married Brooklyn Dreams singer Bruce Sudano, and they had two daughters together.

Donna’s family released a statement, saying that they “are at peace celebrating her extraordinary life and her continued legacy.”

Donna Summer was 63 years old.

50 Cent scared some of this fans when he tweeted as picture of himself in a hospital room.

The rapper is no stranger to hospitals being that was shot nine times before, and apparently whatever procedure had to be done was not serious or life threatening. 

After he tweeted the hospital pics, he bombarded with questions via twitter, but instead of explaining why he was in the hospital, he continued to promote his upcoming EP that drops next Tuesday.

Fiddy even called his Money team partner Floyd Mayweather out via twitter tweeting:

“I don’t want to go into surgery. @FloydMayweather call my phone why your phone off.”

Just a couple of days before he tweeted those hospital pictures, he sat down with MTV cameras to give the world some insight on how Justin Bieber and Lil’ Wayne became apart of Floyd Mayweather’s “Money Team” entourage.

This may be the end of BET’s hit show, The Game as we know it now that Tia Mowry has announced that she will not be returning to the series.  

Tia took to her twitter page to announce the news to fans saying: 

“Just wanted to let all my fans know that I will not be returning to The Game for season 6. It was an incredible run and I had lots of fun along the way. I am looking forward to my upcoming projects…the release of my book #OhBaby [today!].”

In addition to this, Pooch Hall, better known as show’s star running back, Derwin Davis,  announced that he too may not return to the show. Pooch said this via twitter:  

“Me and BET got love for each other… They are wrkin it out. I’m on a new showtime show “Ray Donovan” showtime said I can still do The Game…”

Rumors are swirling saying that both Tia and Pooch were let go by BET producers, but Pooch stopped by the Global Grind studios to explain his side of the story!
