Allen Iverson’s Wife Wants Him To Leave Her Alone!
This must be the season for bitter divorces. Last week Deion Sanders and his wife Pilar made headline when a domestic dispute took place in their Dallas home, and now, Allen Iverson’s estranged wife wants a restraining order.
Tawanna Iverson filed legal docs in the couple’s divorce battle, claiming Allen “has engaged in increasingly contemptuous, threatening, and disturbing behavior” over the last few months.
She is asking the judge to issue a protective order stat, but it is unclear whether she wants Iverson to stay away physically, or just stop harassing her.
This divorce made major headlines earlier this year when Tawanna wanted Allen to “give the name and telephone number of every person other than your spouse whom you have had sexual relations and/or intimate physical contact from the date of the marriage to the date of trial.”
This was strange because back in June 2011, when divorce documents were first filed, Tawanna claimed that their split has ”nothing to do with another woman.”
Also last month, Iverson filed a motion to dismiss the divorce, claiming he and his wife Tawanna had temporarily reconciled from November 2011 to February 2012 and had “resumed their marital relationship, cohabiting, having sexual relations and holding themselves out as husband and wife.”
Since Tawanna filed divorce documents on grounds of the marriage being “irretrievably broken,” Allen is claiming that grounds of divorce are now false since they did have a period of reconciliation.
However, this may be a legal move designed to delay paying support. Tawanna also claims that Allen is hiding big money from her, and left her and their kids with nothing since their break up, so Allen’s intentions are unclear.
A judge has yet to rule, and Allen’s camp has made no statement on the matter.
